Meet Margaret
June 15th from 4pm-7pm
Margaret Overland was born in Tampa, Florida but travelled the country from Maryland to Washington State as part of a military family.
Art has always been a part of her life, in many forms and mediums. For the last several years, she has been working in a unique style of her own invention.
Working in vibrant colors, achieved by using wax pencils in saturated, bold strokes. Margaret composes scenes of whimsy and depth. Cats, crows and nature gods are captured in mid flight, framed often in circular design, which tells a story much like a mandala. In addition to graphic art, Margaret is also a Reiki and Tai Chi practitioner. Energy work is of daily importance and strongly informs her work.
