"Home Away from Home - Immigrants, Refugees, and Undocumented Citizens"
As a first generation immigrant, with this series I want to give visibility to the diverse population of individuals living in Tacoma and surrounding areas who were born in another country. In a moment in history when non-US-born face heightened scrutiny, discrimination, and often violence, it's important to stop to see the common humanity we all share.

Small Wonders
2026 KAAW Small Works Exhibition
The Korean American Artists Association of Washington State (KAAW) is pleased to present Small Wonders, a group exhibition featuring original artworks by KAAW member artists.
This exhibition celebrates the beauty and creativity of small-scale artworks, showcasing each artist’s unique perspective, artistic expression, and personal vision. Although modest in size, these works carry meaningful stories, emotions, and ideas, demonstrating that artistic impact is not defined by scale.
Beyond celebrating artistic expression, Small Wonders reflects KAAW’s commitment to supporting future generations of artists. A significant share of the proceeds from artwork sales will be dedicated to the KAAW Scholarship Fund, fostering the artistic growth and creative potential of emerging artists.
Through this exhibition, KAAW hopes to inspire appreciation for art, strengthen connections within the community, and demonstrate how even the smallest works can make a lasting difference.
